Is this Diana Rivers?
...Some might say she's inquisitive - and some will say she's just downright nosy! I'm told she's feisty, tenacious and sexy. (The Assassins' Village) She's neither Miss Marple nor Jessica Fletcher. She's her own woman. Bright, forty-ish and with a mind of her own. Since her childhood she's often found herself in tricky situations, sometimes real danger, but somehow she's always come out squeaky clean - so far...
Diana lives in an old stone-house set somewhere in Cyprus and writes books; historical fiction, thrillers, action and romantic suspense among other things. She doesn't go looking for trouble but somehow it always finds her. NB. All the Diana Rivers books can be read in any order.
The Assassins' Village. Diana's first case in Cyprus took place in the village of Aghios Mamas, where the expat and local communities are shaken to the core. Two murders - will there be more?!
Diana's interest with all things mysterious, involving human and sometimes not so human things started when she was a girl, at a boarding school in Singapore, (The Bamboo Mirror). She enjoys a good mystery and often finds herself siding with the underdog - she sums up most situations with the word; retribution. Diana likes to fight alongside that person in the mystery or adventure who is having a hard time - often through no fault of their own. She understands everyone is human and has faults and quirks which are different from the next person. Diana too is human and makes her own mistakes - sometimes bad ones.
Traces of Diana can be found in different periods of her life, when she trod the boards, was at school or just a bare mention, when she immediately grasps the answer to a query one of her friends might ask her. See an anthology of short stories, The Bamboo Mirror.

Camera...Action...Murder!
Diana Rivers hadn’t intended to visit England that summer but the invitation to take part in a film-shoot seemed too exciting an opportunity to miss. The only possible fly in the ointment, was the venue. Years before, Diana had suffered a terrifying experience in Cheltenham, England – an encounter which she thought she’d resolved. Little did she know that the filming was only a minor part of the show about to be enacted. Once again, Diana is drawn into events which threaten to spiral out of control. When a beautiful young actress is accidentally killed, Diana’s reaction is to turn to more sinister thoughts. Was it an accident or was it…murder? A second body leaves everyone reeling and this time there is no doubt. A callous and vicious murderer or murderers are at large. Diana is fast embroiled in discovering the hard facts, not knowing that she is placing herself in great danger. Watch out Diana! You could be next…
CHILDHUNT!
Two weeks before Christmas. The villagers of Agios Mamas, in Cyprus, are preparing for the season’s festivities with plenty of parties. Without warning terror strikes the heart of the village. Over the past six years, many children have disappeared...without trace, leaving behind bemused and shocked parents. This winter two more small children disappear...abducted from their home... Diana knows the family of four, and acting swiftly, puts together a party of local runners and walkers to comb the surrounding countryside for the missing youngsters. Additional help comes from old flame, Adam Lovell and his gypsy girl-friend, Clare. They know they have to act quickly...The first hour is called "The golden hour" and the longer a child is missing, the less chance there is of them being recovered unharmed. As Diana becomes more involved in the desperate search, she puts both her life and Clare's in danger as the noose is drawn tighter around one house near their normally sleepy little village. Has someone been stalking the family; waiting for the right moment to strike? And why this family? Will local author and amateur sleuth, Diana Rivers, her posse of friends and CID Police Chief Inspector, Adam Lovell find the children before it's too late...? Join Diana and her friends as they try to unravel the twists and turns in this horrific nightmare.
A DEADLY LEARNING
When author and private investigator, Diana Rivers travels to Portugal for a holiday, murder is the last thing on her mind. On the first day of her visit, nothing bodes well at the International College of Portugal when a woman’s body is found interred behind a wall during renovation work. The striped plastic tape around the crime-scene portrays a sense of profound unease. What with students practicing sexual rituals in the sand dunes, a suspicion of a drug factory and money laundering plus a rash of killings, her plans for a quiet break go awry. Diana is in her element.
