As I sit here the sun is shining, it is a pleasant 20 degrees or so and our regular house martins are back and busy repairing last years nest ready for this years brood. Last year they successfully raised 6 little chicks who all happily flew off south to Africa when our short winter arrived.
Where has the time gone? In my last blog I was struggling to write my final edit for The Assassins Village. Two months later, I am nearer completion but the distractions have been enormous.
Visits back to the UK, guests staying with us here and six hard weeks of back breaking renovation work on the house.
There is always so much 'literary' stuff to read; some of it is extremely worthwhile to take the time to read - the rest is a nightmare just to sift through. Which is probably how literary agents feel whenever they receive a deluge of new manuscripts dumped on their desks from hopeful authors.
Very soon I hope to add The Assassins Village to a few agents desks myself, fingers crossed there is an agent out there who clicks with the manuscript!
